Traditionally an Orangery was a room built to grow oranges and other fruit trees to protect them from the winter. Nowadays it is a term given to a room used for relaxation with the benefit of a glazed roof which is smaller than a standard full glass roof conservatory. The smaller glass roof is called a lantern roof, and this will fit in the middle of a flat roof which typically has a plastered finish on the inside and a fibre-glass finish on the outside to provide weather protection.

Since orangeries fall under “permitted development” most installations do not require planning permission. However, should this not be the case, we have the expertise to undertake this process and seek approval prior to commencement of any works.

On most occasions waste material will be removed from your property at the end of each day. Should a skip be a preferred option, this will be discussed with our Surveyor and a suitable location will be agreed in advance..
